Ultra-fine and perfect paper made Boeing 777 made over 5 years

On an airplane made of paperPaper craft that makes it easy to do with origami and combines multipleAlthough there are kinds such as, there are photos and movies of ultra precise Boeing 777 enhanced to the field of art, not the level of play anymore.

Luca Iaconi-Stewart who is an artist and architectural designer who is producing this work. Luca likes airplanes that "super" can attract, and it seems this work has started making it as a subject of high school class.

The material used for making is a paper folder that is not so common in Japan called "Manila folder" which is made of thick paper. Because it has a moderate thickness, it seems that it was optimal for giving strength.

ByJenniferbuyshouses.com

The model was a Boeing 777 type passenger plane. Luca, who was studying architecture, started clipping a Manila folder based on a drawing created using a computer and making a paper plane of 1/60 scale.

The production period is about 5 years. Although it seems there was also a time when it was neglected in some places, it reached almost completion stage. The state of such paper B777 is as follows.

◆ Fuselage
The state of the aircraft under construction is here. Although wings are not attached yet, the reproducibility of the shape and the texture of the material are made quite realistically.

ByLuca Iaconi-Stewart

It is like this when the front part of the aircraft is up. A full scratch build model made by paper by Luca, who handmade the parts, is far from the image of "paper airplane"

ByLuca Iaconi-Stewart

It looks like a "cut model" made by cutting real aircraft.

ByLuca Iaconi-Stewart

Realistically reproduce the skeleton hiding under the skin. A break space for the crew on the ceiling behind (crew) is also made.

ByLuca Iaconi-Stewart

It is a part that can be seen as a stair going up to a break space.

The cross section of the aircraft is like this. The cargo holders under the floor are faithfully reproduced.

ByLuca Iaconi-Stewart

Space to accommodate in-flight containers with luggage

ByLuca Iaconi-Stewart

When the sheets were lined up, it became like a passenger plane at once.

It seems to believe that it is said to be "inside 777 aircraft under construction"

It also reproduces 'Galley' which contains in-flight meals. Reproduction of the curtain is secretly superb.

It looks like this from the inside.

ByLuca Iaconi-Stewart

Core is a cargo door for cargo holds

ByLuca Iaconi-Stewart

It is mounted like this. How mobile.

ByLuca Iaconi-Stewart

Here is the movie on which Cargo Door works. It is faithfully reproduced to the hinge mechanism.

The state of the tail wings and the last body of the aircraft. The skeleton reproduced precisely is splendid.

Exhaust port for auxiliary engine opened at the back of the aircraft

ByLuca Iaconi-Stewart

The size of the aircraft is about this size. Structural material that transversely crosses the wing also reproduces like a real thing.

ByLuca Iaconi-Stewart

Do not pull out the base part of the tail wings.

ByLuca Iaconi-Stewart

Wing
Of course the wings are also reproduced from the structure.

ByLuca Iaconi-Stewart

You can see the state of "tab" which is used for fine adjustment by bending in two stages, "Ladder" which folds largely.

Aircraft interior
Reproduction sheets one by one finely

ByLuca Iaconi-Stewart

It is the latest "clamshell type" seat.

ByLuca Iaconi-Stewart

This fidelity is amazing though it is a fingertip size

ByLuca Iaconi-Stewart

Precise reproduction of economy seats

ByLuca Iaconi-Stewart

Even the space to put the top of the seat, in-flight magazines etc ... ....

ByLuca Iaconi-Stewart

A sheet that is juxtaposed. It seems that this sheet alone took several months to prepare.

ByLuca Iaconi-Stewart

It is made to be real so as to make you laugh.

ByLuca Iaconi-Stewart

Of course, we created service carts that keep cooking as well.

◆ Cockpit
Fine reproduction of the overhead "overhead panel"

ByLuca Iaconi-Stewart

The unit on the left side of the aircraft, the unit on which the captain sits

ByLuca Iaconi-Stewart

Also reproduces the copilot's side unit on the other side.

ByLuca Iaconi-Stewart

The center console placed in the center of the cockpit. You see an engine throttle, a flight computer, and a handset for communication.

The making image of the seat is here. There are no design drawings that I referred to, but it is based on the design created using Adobe Illustrator.

◆ Engine
Manufactured by General Electric Company installed in Model B 777-300GE 90Turbo fan engine.

ByLuca Iaconi-Stewart

Also reproduces the front of the engine, a characteristic three-dimensional shape fan.

ByLuca Iaconi-Stewart

Stay attaching the engine to the wing also reproduces from the frame

ByLuca Iaconi-Stewart

It was a familiar appearance with a cover attached.

ByLuca Iaconi-Stewart

What is surprising is that it is reproducing the mechanism for thrust reverser used for landing.

ByLuca Iaconi-Stewart

The behavior of thrust reverser is like this. It looks like it moves with the mechanism just like the real machine.

Thrust Reversers - YouTube

Inside, radially extending parts are attached.

ByLuca Iaconi-Stewart

Like the actual machine, part of the engine cowl slides to the back when the reverse operation is performed.

ByLuca Iaconi-Stewart

◆ Landing gear
Reproduce landing gear such as landing tires with paper

ByLuca Iaconi-Stewart

A tire with a three-dimensional feeling that I can not imagine making paper by cutting and pasting it

ByLuca Iaconi-Stewart

It is a collection of such detailed parts.

ByLuca Iaconi-Stewart

Even just making this number, it will take quite a while ......

ByLuca Iaconi-Stewart

Although this B777 is being reproduced with surprising precision, it is said that creation is still ongoing. EventuallyAir IndiaIt seems to be painted to specifications.

ByBriYYZ

Luca's work which has reached the level of "God Hikoki" which is no longer "paper dude" will be completed as early as 2014 as soon as possible.
