· Because there are many movements, it is not always to hang from the neck, just take a moment and put it in your bag, move it out, shoot it again and take a picture ...
· Because there is no time to fine-tune it manually at the time of shooting, almost almost never leaves it to the camera
· Emphasis on the balance between image quality, operability and mobility (NG is something blatantly blatantly instead of just one by one)
· How to operate smoothly in harsh environments is important and important (The more points you get used to it and the more you use it the more severe you use it)
· Elements that are asked outdoors and indoors are completely different, so you should use them properly, but want to finish with one unit

Although the feeling I saw was rugged feeling, I feel heavy, but I do not feel the weight as much as it looks because the body is made of magnesium. Furthermore, it is dust-proof and drip-proof, so it's very encouraging to be able to shoot even under a bad condition such as a rainy day or sand dancing.


What you should notice on the back part is that the LCD monitor has a Variation Angle function. This function was attached to GH 2, but GX 1 used after GH 2 did not have this function, "I thought that even if Bali Angle liquid crystal could be used, it was a model without saying ... ..." I regretted it . When interviewing, it is a very useful function because there are many situations in which only the camera needs to be lifted up from inside the crowd and objects are to be photographed.

In addition, the specifications of the buttons when operating the LCD monitor have been changed and it is dialed, it feels like a Canon camera. It is confusing at the beginning that you are accustomed to using the independent buttons, but when you get used to it you will lose sense of incongruity.


The position of the red movie shooting start button also differs greatly from GH 2 and GX 1. In GH 2 and GX 1 it was installed close to the shutter button, but it is on the LCD monitor in GH 3. In this position there is no mistake with the shutter button.


I positionally operate with my thumb, but I can push the button smoothly while entering the shooting position. Also, it's good to be able to press while checking the shooting screen on the LCD monitor because it is in a visible position.


The dial is one size larger than GH 2, GX 1. It became easier to rotate by that much, and I felt that the feeling of operation improved as I got a "ticky" feeling when turning again.


The buttons for setting white balance, ISO, and exposure are located near the shutter button. Since you can smoothly move the shutter button and fingers from setting change, you can shoot without stress.


It is a mode dial. The feel is slightly stiff, but it will become a bit more soft as you come in it. It may have wanted to adopt a color such as red so that iA (Intelligent Auto) is easy to distinguish.


In addition, I compare this dial side by side with GH 2, GH 3, GX 1 from the left. GH 3 has a height, it is jagged all in a 4-stage style, making it easy to operate. In addition, the jagged portion is also large, making it easier to get caught.


Remote terminal and card slot on the right side. It is a place I wanted to put in two because it is often a single slot that only contains one SD card, it also often shoot movies, but if you use a large capacity SD card OK.


The top is GH 2 and the bottom is GH 3. The size of the card door is one size larger in GH 3, so opening and closing can be done smoothly.


Also, in GX 1, the place to put the card and the battery are together, so if you try to take out the SD card, you may have mistakenly removed the battery, but this kind of mistake also disappears.


Furthermore, when you are interviewing with two people, you often pass the SD card out to the person who creates the article, but in that case you can do it very smoothly. Open the cover with your fingers ......


You can pick it up and pass it. When this is taken out from the bottom like GX 1, I do not go.


There are five play buttons and function buttons on the left side facing the back, so it's easy to call frequently used functions with a single shot.


On it is a drive mode dial like GH2.


This is a drive mode dial of GH 2, but when looking at AF / AE LOCK buttons are installed together. In this case, the button was operated while putting it in the bag, and the button felt as if "that, autofocus does not work! Why, why is it broken?", And if you look closely it will shift the dial to "MF" There were many things that it was only being manual focus, though ......


Since the AF / AE LOCK button is on the back side in GH 3, it seems that buttons are not operated arbitrarily in the first place in the first place, even if there is anything, it is quickly noticed because it is in an observable position. As it was in the previous position, it was completely blinded, so this is a good improvement though it is plain.


Also, although the left is GH 2 and the right is GH 3, as you can see, the dial is getting higher on the GH 3, and although it is a fine part, operability was also felt better.


Microphone terminal, headphone terminal, HDMI terminal & AV OUT / DIGITAL terminal are arranged on the left side.

Battery cover looks closely and slides by slightly rotating from the previous sliding style. Sometimes it was GH 2, it seems to be able to prevent that I touched somewhere when opening or removing from the bag somewhat, opening without permission.

Firstly from the clock setting.


It sets by touch operation of the liquid crystal panel. The operability is good, the reaction of the touched part is also good, so there is no particular problem.


I tried out the flash.


In GH 3, if the power is not ON, you can not issue flash.


In the past GH 2 and GX 1, it was possible to issue a flash even when the power was off, and when I took out of the bag I touched the button and flash inadvertently came out and I had many troubles, Since there is no such worry in GH 3, it seems to be comfortable to carry.


I actually brought it.


Although it is a fine place, since the rubber grip is also used on the left side, it can be felt that the grip feeling improved. It is an important point because the accumulation of these fine parts appears as a big result in fatigue during long photographing.


I use the left hand like this when zooming the lens, but it was smooth and it was not too hard nor too soft.


Scenes shooting with Bali Angle Liquid Crystal. In GX 1 it was only possible to lift it upward and rely on a feeling, but it was very convenient because it allows you to focus on and composition while watching the LCD.
