In the flow of life, 40 to 50 minutes of morning practice was incorporated in the time before getting up and going to school already in the morning. When I get up in the morning my father is waiting under the stairs. Did not you ever float from school friends and around because you practiced guitar eagerly?

village:
It was not that much. When I was in elementary school, Monday and Thursday was the only day my father took lessons outside. My mother was an elementary school teacher, so it was not until late afternoon, so only Monday and Thursday was a day I could secretly play with my friends. Well, occasionally I come home from school on Monday and doing video games, sometimes my father who finished my lesson quickly came home. Once I found it, it looks like the end of a volume .... Do you have any occupations you wanted to be when you were small?

village:

Did you touch the computer frequently since you were a child?

village:
To buy a computer, I bought it when Windows 95 came out. That's why I was touching it since I was not so widespread among classes. Does every guitarist feel like this kind of stuff?

village:
Yes, everyone, I'm almost doing this kind of hand. People who repel strings have delicate muscles, the opposite side holds strings so muscular and grip strength is attached, so there is a difference in both hands.

Did you stretch out from a little childhood?

village:
Since the nail is also a part of the skin, even if she is young she can bend it properly. That's why I feel like I waited until about 6 small pieces and stretched it.

So, how did you practice in your childhood when you have not extended your nails?

village:
Ah, some people play without using the fingers, there is a "fingertip method" that uses the fingers head. The old guitarists did not use the nails and everyone was playing at the fingertips.

village:

village:
I went to a general school in Japan till the first year of high school and I went abroad afterwards. When I was in the first grade of high school, I started becoming thinking "I am going to do as a guitarist as it is", and my sister already had a CD debut at that time and I also had a concert tour so I decided to proceed like this There was a precedent that something was wrong, it was easy to understand the image.

When thinking so much, if you are going to go to study high school in order to study for college entrance exams, you might think that it would be better for each teacher to tell each teacher what it is as composition law, musical instruments, music history Then. I was thinking that I should leave school and go to such a teacher about the second semester of my first year of high school. From there it was decided to enroll in Boston's high school with laziness.


G:

village:

I think that the surrounding environment has greatly changed when going to high school abroad, what is the biggest change you felt?

village:
High school studied abroad is about 40 minutes by car from BostonWalnut Hill SchoolAlthough it is a place, it is the first time in 7 years that the student of guitar department appeared, there was only me. Besides music major, there are various subjects such as classical ballet, modern ballet, theater, lyrics and so on. Music major was the biggest, but there was only me who was playing the guitar. It was the biggest change that I got out of the world where I was soaked in the guitar. There were only 200 students in the whole school, as I was able to see all the lives at the dormitory system, but there were environments where there were about 100 teachers and staff members.


G:
I think English will be used if I take classes at an American school, have you studied English before long?

village:
No, in fact it did not do anything at all. I thought that probably I would never use English somewhere. In going to Boston's high school, desperately starting studying English desperately from about 1 January high. If it is in Japan, the school will begin in April, but since the US is from September, there was a little time. I attended studying abroad in a certain station, and I was doing it in the short term.

About 40% of all the students in Boston were international students. That's why the school side prepared a plan for students who can not speak English so it did not get so bad. Also, since it is music, lessons were exchanged using instruments rather than words.

But I guess this was because I was 17 years old. People who are doing classical guitar are mainstream at that time to go to France after graduating from college, so I thought that I would do so. It is not the same as going after going around 20 years old and going at the age of 17. To say that I did not know anything, but on the other hand I could do anything.


G:
Mr. Muraji and her sister Mr. Kaori Muraji, I also saw some of the professional guitarist's background, but I was surprised that everyone had experience of study abroad. Is it essential to study abroad again to become a guitarist?

village:
I agree. Classical guitar was not taken into Japanese university for some reason. It is getting more and more recently, but it was not so when I was a student. That's why I had no choice but to go. I could not study in Japan. Even if it is enriched in Japan, there are still many people going abroad, especially to Europe.

G:
When was the first time you played the guitar in public? Also, what kind of things did you feel at that time?

village:
Perhaps I am in the late teens in the sense of a concert, but my father is doing a classroom announcement held by my father twice a year, so I counted it and played it when I was 4-5 years old .

After all it is nervous to play in front of people. I guess I just finished doing it recently. Do you often do concerts at around 300 to 400 people?


G:
Are there any tricks to not getting nervous?

village:
After all, it is to accumulate experience, but it is not the number of classical guitar performances or else. I guess it was great how much I saw the guitar and what I was totall.

Actually I think that I am not a classical guitarist lately. I am hurrying and I've polished since I was a little, and there are loud volumes, and because I have those weapons, I am seeing various people now. I've always thought that I would like to do activities that spread its area to various fields from that weapon, in other words, some technology with classical guitar as the core. Some people type to deepen them to the limit when they reach certain genres, and then go to another place. I began to notice recently that it is not so.

Or perhaps I have been watching GIGAZINE all the time so it may have changed that way (laugh) Yes, in short, my origin is GIGAZINE.

G:
Although it is inferior care, what kind of income is mainly obtained in earning a living by music activity alone?

village:
Professional guitarists generally have concerts every 40 to 50 times per week, and everyone is doing a concert, and it is a form of creating new programs among them. But I probably have not changed the program for about two years now.

Since I entered NY university in 2003, I started contracting with Victor every year to make CD, but at first it was a contract saying that I only need one piece, but once I make it, the next year also It began to take off and it lasted about five years. Even though I went to New York looking for the spread of the surface, my life like school study and CD release buried one year.


At the same time I graduated in 2008, I did not play the guitar for about 2 months, and I met various people anyway. Many people were artists and companies other than music, and what was said among them was that "it is better to train intuition." I can not predict such clearly that "If you connect with this person, you probably can not do such a concert," I can not predict such a clearly, but there are some people who think that it would be better for those who had been absolutely forgotten. When I made a personal network with my heartfelt since 2008, I got acquainted with some of the top pharmaceutical companies in Washington, DC and now I support me from many aspects, including finance.

So now the concert is about 20 times a year, and in terms of life it is a form of paying salary from that person.


G:
Even with the same song, I felt that the atmosphere changed considerably by the players, but do you have something in mind about how to express it when Mr. Murahara usually plays?

village:
There are two, the first is "I will never give 100% of power." It is said to play with about 80% of power. Something like physical fitness and spirituality, leaving 20% ​​with leeway. In the old days, I was thinking of doing 100% of power and trying music, but then there is no room for the customer to come in and the listener is strained. The other is "I am a performer, but at the same time I make myself as an audience." While listening to my performance always keep holding ears as listener. It is possible to fix it on the spot if you are looking objectively, such as when you are unaware that you are unilaterally trying to be a performer or when there is a mistake in sound.


However, I think that it is completely unrelated, "I will never give out 100% of power" and "I will make myself as a listener", but I am careful of both.


G:
Among the songs that I have played so far, is there a particular song that I am sure of?

village:
Well, actually, the question for such a guitarist is very weak (lol) "I'm totally a bit aiming for a guitarist" or something awful. Because I am conscious that I am not a guitarist.

There is a song called "Fuoco" in a song that plays well. This song is a song that you can effectively use the technique that is "weapons" given by your father. Special techniques are used quite a lot, and I can perform efficiently what I have cultivated, so I frequently play.

village:
I understand. It feels like not only music but also everything to express. Even those who do not feel consciously, they should have felt properly under unconsciousness. However, it is only the difference that the person who is doing music can explain it in a reasonable way, I think the impression itself is exactly the same.

village:
