SOFTBANK MOBILE, offer small base stations free of charge to homes and stores where radio waves are difficult to enter

According to the press release distributed at SOFTBANK 30th anniversary event "SOFTBANK OPEN DAY", SOFTBANK MOBILE is going to double base station to Medo during FY2010.

And we will provide a small base station (femto) free of charge from May 10 (Monday) to users who do not have radio waves at base stations. Also, if there is no broadband line, it is supposed to provide free Femto ADSL service as well.

Similar services provided by small base stations are deployed not only for stores but also for businesses. In addition, Wi-Fi is provided for business owners who are considering setting up a Wi-Fi access point to improve service to visitors, etc. It is said that it will provide a router and dedicated ADSL service free of charge.
