Production of PC with Windows XP ended on January 31, 2008



According to Microsoft 's announcement, Windows XP' s regular OEM licensing will be closed on January 31, 2008. Along with this, production of PCs equipped with Windows XP from PC manufacturers will also end on the same day.

For Windows Vista "DowngradeBy doing so XP is still available.

Although the OEM version ends on January 31, 2008, the OEM authorized reseller license (DSP version) of Windows XP is said to be available until January 31, 2009, so acquisition itself is possible. It means that there will be no computers with XP installed from the beginning.

Purchase a computer with Windows Vista Business or Ultimate installed

I prepared for Windows XP Professional or Tablet PC Edition CD-ROM at hand

Delete Windows Vista and install XP

Activate license by calling the activation window for license authentication (license authentication via the net is impossible)


In short, although Vista is included, even if XP is installed, if you say that you downgraded properly on the phone you will activate it, too.

Even if you downgrade to XP, you can of course return it to Vista.
