Google has launched a 'Set as Google's preferred source' button for website administrators, and has also enhanced customization features for Discover and audio news.

Google Search has a feature called '

Preferred Sources ' that prioritizes your favorite websites in the top news section of search results. Google has now started providing a 'Preferred Source Registration Button' for website administrators.

In Google Search, news related to your search terms is prominently displayed as 'Top Stories,' as shown below. While Google selects the content displayed as Top Stories, users can increase the frequency of their favorite websites appearing in Top Stories by designating them as 'Preferred Sources.'

You can register your preferred sources by clicking the button located in the upper right corner of the top news, or by using the link to the preferred source settings page located on each website.

Until now, Google had not provided an official button asset for registering as a preferred source, so each website had to create its own button. For example, GIGAZINE has placed a button like the one below at the end of each article.

Google has now started distributing official button assets. Various language versions are available, and the Japanese button is as follows:

There are also buttons with white text on a black background.

The button assets are available at the following link.

Google has also added a feature that allows users to customize what is displayed in Discover using natural language. Users can optimize the displayed content by giving instructions in natural language, such as 'Show me ideas for kitchen renovations.'

Furthermore, the feature that allows you to listen to news in audio format now includes the ability to customize your preferred categories.
