X has published its algorithms at the following link. The published data includes the algorithm that determines whether or not to display each post in the recommended timeline and the algorithm that ranks the posts.

Additionally, a feature called 'Under the Hood' has been added, which allows users to see how their posts are being handled by the system. Under the Hood is available to users who have made 10 or more posts in the previous month, and it allows them to check the labels assigned to their account and posts.

Under the hood is being offered on a trial basis to a randomly selected test group of users who have been using the service for more than a year. In the case of a GIGAZINE account, accessing the Under the hood page only displays the message 'Currently being offered on a trial basis to a small group,' and it was not yet available.

Keith Coleman, Vice President of Product at X, explained to TechCrunch that 'Under the hood allows users to download statistical information in JSON format, and even users who are not tech-savvy can get detailed analysis results by inputting the JSON file downloaded from Under the hood and the URL of the algorithm's public page into the AI.'

While Twitter's algorithm was open-sourced in April 2023 and the data was released in Twitter's GitHub repository , this new algorithm is released in SpaceXAI's GitHub repository .

Furthermore, X has opened a new official X account called ' X Open Source ' in conjunction with the open-sourcing of its algorithms. Elon Musk has announced that he will release all of X's source code, and further code releases are expected in the future.
