SpaceXAI has released 'Grok Bot,' an AI agent that works 24/7. It is compatible with Windows, macOS, Linux, and iOS, and each agent is controlled by a dedicated cloud PC.



SpaceXAI released an early beta version of 'Grok Bot,' an AI agent that operates websites and various apps on behalf of users to perform tasks, on August 11, 2026. Each Grok Bot has its own dedicated cloud computer, allowing it to continue working even when the user is away from their PC. It is available to subscribers of SuperGrok Heavy, Cursor Ultra, and Cursor Teams Premium.

SpaceXAI describes Grok Bot as 'an AI teammate you can entrust with real work.' Unlike traditional chat AIs that only answer questions and suggest work procedures, Grok Bot signs into tools, operates apps and websites, and carries out a series of tasks until user approval is required.



A key feature of Grok Bot is its use of a dedicated computer hosted in the cloud. This eliminates the need for users to keep their own PCs running, allowing Grok Bot to continue working even during meetings, lunch breaks, or while sleeping. Lauren from SpaceXAI states that she actually uses Grok Bot for calendar management and code development.



For example, at SpaceXAI, a Grok Bot for sales enters call records into the CRM and creates follow-up emails, while an engineering bot reproduces bugs on product screens and creates tickets. Even for services that don't have APIs or MCPs available, Grok Bots can operate websites and apps just like a human.

Users can assign tasks to Grok Bot from their smartphones or desktops, much like sending a message to a colleague, and can even resume the same conversation from a different device. Furthermore, there's a feature that allows users to save previously demonstrated work procedures as 'routines,' enabling repeated execution of the same multi-step processes.

Furthermore, you can set up multiple Grok Bots to handle tasks such as email, expenses, recruitment, and bug fixing, and assign them different jobs. Grok Bots can also send messages to each other and collaborate in group chats.

Emily Gavrilenko of SpaceXAI explains that in product growth work, where she manages multiple projects in parallel, she uses multiple specialized Grok Bots for different purposes, like partners or team members who support her thinking.



Grok Bot remembers conversation history and corrections made by the user, and learns preferred writing style, work methods, and when to request confirmation as it is used repeatedly. It is also envisioned to resume interrupted work or follow up on stalled tasks based on past conversations.

According to David Pan of SpaceXAI, Grok Bot was a prototype used by only a few users about six weeks before its release, but its use has spread rapidly since then, and by the time of release, most members of the Cursor team were using it every day.



Lenny Rachitsky, who had early access to Grok Bot, commented, 'I haven't been this excited about a new AI product in a long time.' He described it as similar to OpenClaw but far simpler, more reliable, and less worrying to use.



Alex Finn also tested Grok Bot for a week and highly praised its ability to integrate locally running agents with cloud agents, as well as its ease of building teams of multiple AI agents.



Furthermore, there have been reports of Grok Bot being more than just a chatbot; it can handle a series of tasks by manipulating external services. Developer Prasenjit gave Grok Bot a GitHub repository URL and instructed it to read not only the README but the code itself. Grok Bot then retrieved each file via the API and analyzed the entire codebase.



Eric Zakariasson has compiled 100 Grok Bot use cases he has actually seen in X. Examples include creating emails tailored to the user's writing style on Gmail and scheduling meetings, and automating sales tasks that previously took 90 minutes to 2 hours. The Grok Bot icon is also made of code. According to Benji Taylor of SpaceXAI, it features smooth animations that change its state, shape, and expression, and 'Grok Build' was used to create them.



The early beta version is available to subscribers of SuperGrok Heavy, Cursor Ultra, and Cursor Teams Premium. SuperGrok Heavy costs $300 per month (approximately ¥47,700), Cursor Ultra costs $200 per month (approximately ¥31,900), and Cursor Teams Premium costs $120 per user per month (approximately ¥19,100), with Grok Bot usage included in each plan. In addition, a waitlist is available for businesses for future availability. Regarding supported environments, SpaceXAI's official documentation lists desktop apps for Windows and macOS, and an app for iOS. However, an Android version is not available at the time of writing. Also, while there is no official desktop app for Linux environments at the time of writing, it can be used from a TUI in the terminal by installing the coding agent ' Grok Build '.

Elon Musk has stated that they will fix basic issues found in the early beta and then expand the beta availability of Grok Bot after releasing Grok 4.6 in the second half of the second week of August 2026.
