The Codex app looks similar to ChatGPT and supports voice input as well as text.

You can also commit to the repository and create new branches.

You can also view the difference between before and after changes.

Skills can be used to execute predefined tasks, or to automatically execute tasks by specifying the day of the week, time, and interval.

Dominik Kundel, who is in charge of Codex-related product development at OpenAI, said, 'Until now, I've used the IDE and the Codex extension, but I've completely migrated to the Codex app and now do 99.9% of my work with the Codex app.' In addition, the following post tree contains Kundel's advice on using the Codex app.

The Codex app is currently only available for macOS, with a Windows version coming soon. For a limited time, Codex is available on ChatGPT's free and Go plans, and the Codex rate limit is doubled for Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, and Edu plans.
