SpaceXAI (formerly xAI), the AI ​​startup founded by Elon Musk, has sued a South Carolina man who was arrested for using its AI, Grok, to create deepfake images of child sexual abuse (CSAM). In February 2026, four men aged 19 to 67 from South Carolina were arrested on a total of 18 counts related to CSAM. One was charged with possession and distribution of CSAM, two with possession, and one with distribution.
