The access period for 'Claude Fable 5' has been extended until July 19th for all paid plans, and the weekly rate limit for Claude Code remains at 50%.

On July 13, 2026, Anthropic announced that it would extend the period during which customers can use the cutting-edge model 'Claude Fable 5' at no additional cost until July 20, 2026 at 4 PM (Japan time). In addition, they also extended the campaign to increase the usage limit of Claude Code.

As before, you can use up to half of your weekly usage limit on Fable 5. After that, you can continue using Fable 5 with usage credits, or switch to another model to keep working within your remaining limits.

Claude Fable 5 is a model that was released to the general public with security restrictions imposed on it, based on the 'Claude Mythos' model, which had been restricted from public release due to its high cyberattack capabilities.

Anthropic had planned to offer Claude Fable 5 for a few weeks as a promotional period after its release, but the offer was quickly stopped due to instructions from the US government.

Eighteen days after the suspension, the service finally resumed. Anthropic decided to extend the promotion period by five days, as the originally planned promotion period had been shortened. The final day of that promotion period was July 13, 2026.

On this final day, Anthropic announced that they are extending the promotion period once again. The period will be extended by another 6 days, and subscribers to paid plans such as Claude Pro, Max, and Team will be able to allocate up to 50% of their weekly usage limit to Claude Fable 5. If they exceed this limit, they can use paid credits to purchase Claude Fable 5.

Anthropic has also warned that 'Claude Fable 5 consumes usage at a faster rate than other Claude models.' After the campaign ends, Claude Fable 5 will transition to a pay-as-you-go model using credits.

In addition, Anthropic has extended its existing campaign offering a 50% increase in the weekly usage limit for Claude Code. The campaign runs until 4 PM on July 20th, the same period as the Claude Fable 5 campaign, and will apply to all environments using Claude Code, including Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise plan seat-based users.
