Bluesky version 1.127 was released on July 10, 2026. The smartphone app version of Bluesky now includes an advanced search function.

The following are the search results for the phrase 'iPhone' in Bluesky. To use the advanced search function, tap 'Filter' in the upper right corner.

On the filter screen, you can narrow down your search results based on the following criteria: 'Words to include,' 'Words to exclude,' 'Exact phrase,' 'Post date range,' 'Language,' 'Media type,' 'Include replies or not,' and 'Notification target.'

Set the date to 'July 9, 2026 or later' and the language to 'Japanese,' then tap 'Search.'

Only Japanese posts from July 9, 2026 onwards were displayed.

As of the time of writing, the web app version of Bluesky does not have an advanced search function. The Bluesky development team plans to roll out improvements to the search function gradually over the next few weeks.
