Bluesky now displays images side-by-side when you upload five or more images, and you can switch between them by swiping.

Bluesky version 1.123 was released on June 9, 2026. Version 1.123 changes the appearance of posts containing five or more images, now displaying them side-by-side within the post.

Let's try posting six images using the iOS version of Bluesky.

The results of the submission are shown below. The images are displayed side by side. The number of images is clearly indicated in the upper right corner, such as '1/6' and '2/6'. The development team calls this feature 'photo carousel'.

You can switch between images by swiping left or right within the post.

The same side-by-side display was also present in the web app version of Bluesky.

If you upload four images or fewer, the images will be displayed in a list as before.

The feature to arrange images side-by-side was implemented in version 1.121 in April 2026, but after reviewing user feedback, the feature was finalized to display images side-by-side if there are five or more.
