Claude Cowork is an AI service launched in January 2026 that autonomously performs tasks using files on your PC simply by giving instructions in natural language. It is compatible with Windows, macOS, and Linux, and instructions can be entered via a desktop application.

Tasks performed on Claude Cowork can sometimes take a long time to complete. With this update, you can now manage the progress of your Claude Cowork tasks on your smartphone or browser. Claude Cowork can continue tasks in the background even when your laptop is in sleep mode, and you will receive a notification on your smartphone when a task is completed.

It is also possible to view the resulting files from a smartphone.

You can also edit email drafts created on Claude Cowork on your smartphone.

The ability to manage Claude Cowork via smartphone and browser is currently available in beta and will be rolled out gradually to Max plan subscribers over the next few weeks. It is planned to be made available to users of other plans in the future.
