The 'Ojai' is an electric minivan jointly developed by Waymo and the Chinese automaker Geely Automobile, and is equipped with Waymo Driver, the 6th generation of autonomous driving technology announced in February 2026.
The 6th generation Waymo Driver boasts more advanced sensors and vision systems than its predecessor, making it safer to drive in bad weather or on completely dark roads.

Since the announcement of the introduction of the 6th generation Waymo Driver, 'Ojai' has undergone extensive testing by Waymo employees in San Francisco and Los Angeles.
According to Waymo, 'Ojai' will initially be available to a select group of users, and its service area will be limited to cities such as San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Phoenix. Subsequently, the service area will be gradually expanded to Denver, Las Vegas, San Diego, and other cities, and the number of users will also be increased, with all users expected to have access by the second half of 2026.
