Edge now has a feature that allows you to compare and summarize the contents of multiple open tabs using Copilot.

Microsoft announced updates to the desktop and mobile versions of Edge on May 13, 2026. The updates add several new features that integrate Copilot, Microsoft's AI, with tabs, including a function that compares information across currently open tabs and displays important details.

If you have multiple tabs open in the mobile version of Edge, open Edge's Copilot and tap 'ALL tabs'.

Then, when you ask Copilot a question, it will answer your question by comparing and summarizing the information in the open tabs.

The multi-tab analytics feature, initially announced as a desktop Edge feature for July 2025, is now also available in the mobile Edge app with the latest update. Additionally, tab contents can now be played back in a podcast-style audio format.

Similarly, the 'Journeys' feature, previously only available on the desktop version of Edge, is now also available on the mobile Edge app. With user permission, Journeys organizes browsing history by topic, providing summaries and suggesting the next steps, making it easier to resume projects from where you left off.

Additionally, 'Vision and Voice,' which allows you to share your screen with Copilot to ask questions and receive explanations, is available on both the desktop and mobile versions of Edge. Copilot is clearly displayed when it is active, so you can see when it is performing actions, providing assistance, processing audio, or analyzing the screen.
In addition, Edge includes new tools that help you improve your learning speed and accomplish more, whether it's studying for final exams, writing research papers, or understanding complex topics. These tools include a 'Learning Mode' that presents quizzes based on what you've learned, and a 'Writing Assistant' that supports writing by helping you draft and proofread your texts. Edge's Writing Assistant can be accessed from the blue icon that appears in the text box.

Edge's Copilot feature will be available in all regions where Copilot is offered, starting May 13, 2026, for the Windows and Mac versions of Edge and the Edge mobile app. The 'Journeys' feature and the ability to turn tabs into podcasts are only available in English-speaking regions.
