Colibri, a chat and calling app based on the same AT Protocol as Bluesky, has been released, allowing users to save their chat history on their device.

AT Protocol is said to be inspired by Discord and Slack, resulting in a UI that resembles existing communication apps.

You can log in to Colibri using your Bluesky account. Colibri's personal data is stored in a PDS (Personal Data Server), and for typical Bluesky users, the data is stored in a user-specific PDS hosted by the Bluesky operations team. If you are self-hosting your PDS, you can manage your data on your own PDS.
