OpenAI quietly releases Japanese translation site 'ChatGPT Translate'

OpenAI has quietly launched ChatGPT Translate , a translation site that uses ChatGPT. In addition to supporting Japanese translation, it also has a feature that allows users to request translation and refactoring from ChatGPT at the same time.

I tried clicking the button that said, 'Translate this into a sentence that would be explained to a child.'

ChatGPT then opened. The input field was automatically filled with the original text and the prompt 'to ja with tone:simple (translate into simple Japanese),' so I clicked the send button.

The translation into Japanese was then displayed. It was certainly easy to understand, but it didn't seem particularly suitable for children.

When instructed to 'rephrase it for children,' it generated sentences that made extensive use of hiragana.

Although the translation operation itself can be performed using ChatGPT Translate, you need to access ChatGPT to perform the nuance conversion of the text. Because ChatGPT Translate cannot perform the nuance conversion alone, for now it functions as a page where you can use only ChatGPT's translation function without logging in.
