Fire TV's new UI is cleaner, faster, and more uncluttered, and looks very similar to Google TV. Visually, it has a modern design with improved layout, rounded corners, a new color gradient, updated typography, and optimized spacing.

In terms of functionality, the underlying code has been rewritten, resulting in a 20% to 30% improvement in operation speed compared to the previous version. Also, the number of pinned apps on the home screen has been significantly increased from six to 20. The navigation at the top of the screen has been simplified into easy-to-understand categories such as Movies, TV Shows, Live, Sports, and News.

The search button is now located to the left of the Home tab. A new Live TV tab organizes content from your broadcast and cable subscriptions, as well as the service's built-in live streams. The Sports section provides quick access to live games currently airing and upcoming events. Plus, discovering new content is now easier with columns displaying recommended movies and shows, free streaming lists, and top lists.

One of the improvements to usability is that a shortcut panel appears when you press and hold the home button on the remote. This panel allows you to instantly access display and audio settings, sleep timers, accessibility features, as well as view video from connected Ring cameras and manage smart home devices. This means you can adjust the screen brightness or check for visitors without interrupting your viewing experience.

Additionally, the remote's menu button provides direct access to games, art & photos, and ambient experiences, and Alexa+, powered by generative AI, is integrated into every part of the experience, allowing you to get recommendations based on your favorite actors and directors, skip to specific scenes, add to your watchlist, control your smart home, and more.

This new UI will be rolled out in the US starting in February 2026 to devices such as

the Fire TV Stick 4K Plus and the second-generation Fire TV Stick 4K Max .

The Amazon Ember Artline is Amazon's first smart TV, featuring a 4K QLED display with a matte finish designed to reduce reflections and enhance the look of art and photos. Its incredibly thin design measures just 1.5 inches (approximately 3.8 cm) thick, boasts a maximum brightness of 450 nits, and supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and Wi-Fi 6.

Amazon Ember Artline's biggest feature is its customizable appearance, which can be easily changed to match the style and color of your room. The picture-like outer frame is a magnetic frame that can be easily replaced, and it comes in 10 colors: walnut, ash, teak, black oak, matte white, midnight blue, fig, pale gold, graphite, and silver.

The TV also incorporates the latest AI technology, allowing users to take up to four photos of the room where the TV will be installed and automatically recommend artwork that best suits the room's style and décor. It also detects when people enter or exit the room and automatically turns the Ambient feature on or off. It also uses the built-in microphone to naturally interact with Alexa+, displaying photos from a specific family trip or creating a slideshow.

The Amazon Ember Artline will be available in two sizes, 55 inches and 65 inches, starting at $899 (approximately 135,000 yen). Sales are expected to begin in the US, Canada, Germany, and the UK in spring 2026.

Additionally, Amazon has launched Alexa.com, a browser-based access point for Alexa+. Alexa+ is an AI assistant powered by generative AI, and it connects with tens of thousands of external services, including trip planning through Expedia, restaurant reservations through Yelp and OpenTable, and even the housekeeping service Angi and payment service Square. At the time of writing, early access is available to select users, with plans to gradually expand to regions including the US and UK. In the future, it will likely be available as a benefit for Prime members or as a separate subscription plan.
