The NVIDIA RTX PRO 5000 72GB is a GPU based on NVIDIA's Blackwell architecture, featuring 5th generation Tensor Cores, 4th generation RT Cores, and 72GB of GDDR7 memory.

Developing and running high-performance AI models requires large amounts of VRAM. The memory usage of AI models continues to increase, especially in agent-based AI systems, where multiple AI models and data sources must be active simultaneously within the GPU, requiring large amounts of memory.

The NVIDIA RTX PRO 5000 72GB was released to overcome these challenges. With a memory capacity scaled up from the existing NVIDIA RTX PRO 5000 48GB, AI performance reaches 2142 TOPS, which is expected to help alleviate memory bottlenecks in AI development.

Compared to the previous generation NVIDIA RTX 5000 Ada , the NVIDIA RTX PRO 5000 72GB delivers 3.5x faster image generation performance and 2x faster text generation performance. It also reduces rendering times by up to 4.7x in path tracing engines like Blender and real-time GPU renderers like D5 Render and Redshift, delivering more than double the graphics performance for computer-aided design and product design.

'This maintains data privacy, provides low latency and is cost-effective, allowing teams to serve models directly from their workstations without relying on data center-scale infrastructure,' NVIDIA said.
