The Cambridge Online Trust and Safety Index (COTSI), a website published by the University of Cambridge, allows users to check the regional sales prices of various accounts and learn about trends by service and region.

The buying and selling of social media accounts is often prohibited by the terms of use of each service, and some services require SMS authentication to prevent unauthorized account creation. However, account sellers sign up for large numbers of SIM cards, obtain many valid phone numbers, and use each SIM card to create and sell accounts for numerous services. COTSI displays Instagram account sales information, which is compiled from survey results of 10 major vendors.
The right side of the screen shows the sales price and stock quantity for each region confirmed by the survey. By default, the prices are sorted by price, and Japan is the most expensive region for Instagram accounts. The selling price for an Instagram account in the United States is $0.13 (approximately 20 yen), while in Japan it is $5 (approximately 776 yen).
Let's check the sales information for X. First, click the search button in the upper left.
Narrow your search by phrase and click on the desired 'Twitter/X'.
Sales information for X accounts was displayed. X is also the most expensive in Japan, at $2 (about 310 yen) per account.
The sales information for LINE accounts is as follows: The most expensive was Taiwan at $31.37 (approximately ¥4,867), followed by Japan at $9 (approximately ¥1,396).
