The HUAWEI Mate 70 Air is notable for its thinness, measuring just 6.6mm thick at its thinnest point, excluding the camera bump. While it's not as thick as the iPhone Air , which is 5.64mm, it is the thinnest of Huawei's Mate series. It also boasts improved heat dissipation, drop resistance, shock resistance, and battery capacity per unit thickness compared to the existing series.

The Huawei Mate 70 Air has a fairly large screen considering its thinness. While even the iPhone 17 Pro Max is only 6.9 inches, the Huawei Mate 70 Air is a whopping 7 inches. Huawei describes it as having 'a wide field of view, perfect shots for every frame. Peak brightness of 4000 nits reproduces clear images even in strong light.'
Chinese media outlet iFanr pointed out, 'The large screen area and minimal black bezels create a viewing experience similar to that of a folding screen. Until now, the name 'Air' has simply been seen as meaning 'ultra-thin,' but the HUAWEI Mate 70 Air is the first product to differentiate itself through screen size. Huawei has not only broken away from the conventional idea that 'Air' must be thin, but has also found a new way to utilize its extensive experience and knowledge.'

The watch will be available in three colors: 'Yokin Black,' 'Hagoromo White,' and 'Golden Silver.' Prices start at 4,199 yuan (approximately 90,000 yen). At the time of writing, the watch is available for pre-order, with shipping scheduled for November 13, 2025. It is not available in Japan.
