I found a 'spicy spicy fish ramen' that is a cup noodle with a spicy flavor, so I tried it. How good is the 'very, very, very spicy ramen'?

The spicy cup noodle '

Kara Kara Fish Ramen ' supervised by Inosho Mensho has been on sale every year since 2009, with repeated renewals. 'Spicy Spicy Fish Ramen', which is an even spicier version of the spicy fish ramen, was released on Monday, April 21, 2025, so I bought it and tried it.

I found 'Spicy Spicy Fish Ramen' at Family Mart. It was 363 yen including tax.

So I bought three.

The spicy level is about 6.5.

' Very very very very spicy ramen .' It seems to be very spicy.

Ingredients include chili peppers, flavored oil, powdered bonito flakes, garlic paste, and spice extracts.

The calories are 289kcal for the noodles and vegetables, and 195kcal for the soup, for a total of 484kcal.

When I opened the lid, there was soup with toppings, powdered soup to be added later, and liquid soup inside.

Add the soup with toppings.

Pour in boiling water and heat the liquid soup on top of the lid for 4 minutes.

After 4 minutes, add the liquid soup.

Mix well.

The soup turned dark red.

Add the powdered soup later.

The powdered soup added later looks like this. It has the aroma of fish powder and chili peppers.

Mix it up.

Finished. The ramen is a dark red that looks just as spicy as it looks.

At the first sip, the soup has a strong seafood flavor and is dry, but not too spicy. However, after two or three sips, the spiciness builds up and you start to sweat. The soup is slightly thick, and because it touches your throat for a long time when you swallow it, the spiciness lingers from your tongue to your throat.

The noodles are medium-thick and the soup sticks to them well. When you slurp the noodles, the soup splashes down your throat, making you feel the spiciness of the soup, almost making you choke. The soup is so spicy that the sweetness of the noodles really stands out when you bite into them.

Although the first sip may not feel like it's that spicy, the spiciness will build up and you'll start to sweat profusely, so it's a good idea to drink something to reduce the spiciness, such as milk.

However, it's not just spicy, the seafood flavor is also strong, making you want to eat another bite. Because of this, we kept eating it while sweating profusely, and finally drank it down to the last drop, while also enjoying the 'soup with rice dipped in it.' Also, an editorial staff member who loves spicy food commented, 'It's spicy, but it doesn't numb your tongue, and you can enjoy the sweetness of the noodles and the umami of the fish powder at the same time. As I continued to eat it, I gradually got used to the spiciness. Once you get used to this spiciness, regular spicy fish won't satisfy you. Maybe I should turn back before I get used to it. But I can't stop eating.'

By the way, you can eat 'Kara Kara Sakana Ramen' and 'Kara Kara Sakana Tsukemen' at the Inosho Mendokoro store. The taste of 'Kara Kara Sakana Ramen' and 'Kara Kara Sakana Tsukemen' is summarized in detail in the following article.

I tried 'Spicy Spicy Fish Ramen' and 'Spicy Spicy Fish Tsukemen' at 'Noodle Shop Inosho' and checked the difference with the cup noodle version. - GIGAZINE
