In 2021, Amazon's Jeff Bezos embarked on a manned space trip on a spacecraft operated by his own space company, Blue Origin , but Musk once made fun of Blue Origin, and the two were thought to have had a tense relationship at one point. However, they were seen chatting at Donald Trump's presidential inauguration in January 2025, and it seems that their relationship is not as tense as before.

It's not clear when Amazon will begin advertising again, but CEO Andy Jassy is said to be involved in the plan to increase advertising spending in the future.

Apple is one of the companies that has also suspended advertising, with the suspension still in effect as of January 2025. However, The Wall Street Journal, citing people familiar with the matter, has reported that Apple has held discussions in recent weeks about testing ads on the X.

Apple CEO Tim Cook has described advertising on the X as 'temporarily suspended.' Cook did not specify how long 'temporarily' lasts, but he may decide that enough time has passed.
