Tasting and tasting review of 'Yukimi Daifuku-like bread' and 'Yukimi Daifuku drink' that reproduce the chewy texture and taste of Yukimi Daifuku

'Bread like

Yukimi Daifuku ' and ' Yukimi Daifuku Drink ', which reproduce the taste and texture of 'Yukimi Daifuku ', a bread and drink that wraps ice cream in soft dough like mochi, will be available exclusively at FamilyMart from Tuesday, January 21, 2025. I was curious about what kind of bread and drink they were made of, so I bought them and checked them out.

I immediately purchased 'Yukimi Daifuku-like bread' (left) and 'Yukimi Daifuku drink' (right).

The packaging for the 'Yukimi Daifuku-like Bread' is based on red and white. The dough is wrapped around the gyuhi filling to recreate the soft and elastic 'puni-puni mochi texture,' and vanilla-flavored milk cream is poured into the bread to give it a taste similar to Yukimi Daifuku's vanilla ice cream.

Looking at the raw material names, it included wheat flour, whipped cream, custard-flavored cream, glutinous rice flour, shortening, margarine, fresh cream, eggs, baker's yeast, etc.

Each piece contains 310kcal.

This is what it looks like on a plate. It's light cream in color, almost circular in shape, and about 9cm in diameter.

When you actually try it, the soft, milky, sweet bread dough is filled with vanilla-flavored whipped cream, giving it a taste similar to cream bread. The chewy texture of the gyuhi filling adds to the taste of Yukimi Daifuku.

When comparing it to the real Yukimi Daifuku, the Yukimi Daifuku Bread closely replicates the chewy texture of the gyuhi filling, but the wheat and custard flavors give it a taste more like bread than ice cream.

Next is the Yukimi Daifuku Drink. The packaging is also based on red and white.

There is a thick straw attached to the side.

In addition to 'foods whose main ingredient is milk,' ingredients include shiratama-style konjac granules and dairy products.

The calorie content is 225kcal per 240g.

When poured into a glass, it looks like this. It looks almost the same as milk or other dairy drinks.

When I scooped it up from the bottom, I found small, shiratama-like konnyaku grains inside.

When you suck it up with the thick straw that comes with it, the rich vanilla ice cream flavor spreads in your mouth, and the small shiratama-like konjac grains add a nice texture. When comparing it to the 'Yukimi Daifuku,' although it doesn't have the flavor of the mochi flour in the skin, I felt that the flavor of the vanilla ice cream inside was quite well reproduced.

The price of the 'Yukimi Daifuku-like bread' is 158 yen including tax, and the 'Yukimi Daifuku drink' is 278 yen including tax, both of which will be available exclusively at FamilyMart stores nationwide from Tuesday, January 21, 2025.
