404 Media actually created a GeoSpy account and was able to pinpoint specific locations in San Francisco to track the location of a man who was harassing women in a robot taxi, and also pinpoint specific locations in New York City based on poor quality news footage of the murder of the president of UnitedHealthcare in the street.
Furthermore, by analyzing photos of fires in Los Angeles, they were able to obtain information such as 'locations near specific beaches.'
Daniel Heinen, founder of Graylark Technologies, posted a message on Discord saying, 'We're working with law enforcement,' but in reality, just as 404 Media was able to create an account, anyone could use it, and 404 Media expressed concern that 'stalkers could also use it.'
However, when 404 Media inquired about the matter, they confirmed that public access to GeoSpy had been blocked.
