Kenya has ISPs such as Safaricom with 546,000 users and Jamii with 360,000 users, but Starlink will enter the market in September 2023 and gain popularity due to its price and speed advantages, as well as its availability in remote areas, becoming the 10th ISP in the country by June 2024. It is so popular that new applications have stopped.

In addition, Safaricom and others who felt a sense of crisis are considering lowering prices and increasing speeds, suggesting that Starlink's entry is moving the market.
