GEM Partners provides a data service called 'Entertainment Tracker' that aims to compare and evaluate how content such as manga, books, games, and music is reaching users. Entertainment Tracker compiles data by group based on an index called 'reach points,' which is a compilation of responses to questions such as 'I read/saw/heard this content' every day.

The 'Top 20 Most Read Manga in 2024,' announced on December 23, 2024, is based on annual data collected from January 1, 2024 to the first week of December 2024. The survey was conducted on men and women aged 15 to 69 living in Japan, with data collected from approximately 100,000 people each month.

The most read manga in 2024 was ' ONE PIECE '. Its reach point, which is the basis for the ranking, was 22,357, more than double that of the second-place work. Another notable feature is that 36% of the media read was paperbacks and 26% was the paper version of 'Weekly Shonen Jump,' with the proportion of paper media exceeding 50%.

In second place was '

Jujutsu Kaisen ,' which was completed in 2024. The reach points were '10,540,' with 48% of the total being digital comics and magazines, and 52% being paper comics and magazines, with the proportions of paper and digital being almost the same.

Coming in third is '

Kingdom .' The fifth season of the anime series will begin in January 2024, and the fourth live-action film, ' Kingdom: Return of the General ,' will be released in July 2024.

The reach points and media ratios from 1st to 20th place shown by GEM Partners are as follows. Fourth place '

Oshi no Ko' and fifth place ' Furiren: The Parade of Frieren ' have a higher proportion of electronic media. Additionally, sixth place ' Demon Slayer : Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba' has the highest proportion of paperbacks in the TOP 20 at 44%.

The following is a ranking of reach points by medium. In digital magazines and media/services only, 'Oshi no Ko' is in first place, while 'ONE PIECE' is in the top spot. ' God of Blackfield ,' which is in fifth place in digital books, is a Korean content that is exclusively distributed on the manga app ' Piccoma .'

Piccoma is the most read digital media for both books and magazines/media/services. Digital comics are followed by

LINE Manga and Kindle, while magazines/media/services include Shonen Jump+ , Magapoke , and Sunday Webry , which are all digital versions of popular magazines.

Regarding the data collection by Reachpt, GEM Partners states, 'The purpose is to reveal true reach across media, paper and electronic media, and across services, which has been difficult to grasp until now.'
