TOKUFASTbot is on display as part of the Christmas-only pop-up exhibition ' Christmas Factory in PLAT UMEKITA ' at Mitsubishi Electric's event space ' METoA Ginza .' The venue is PLAT UMEKITA in Kita-ku, Osaka, and the event will run from Saturday, December 14, 2024 to Wednesday, December 25, 2024. PLAT UMEKITA is a 3-minute walk from JR Osaka Station.

Arrived at PLAT UMEKITA.

I found the TOKUFASTbot. The top part is where the moving parts that solve the Rubik's Cube are mounted, and the bottom part is packed with the control parts.

There was also a Guinness World Records certificate.

The information panel looks like this.

The entire process from 'detecting the arrangement of the Rubik's Cube with sensors, deriving the solution, and actually solving it' can be completed in just 0.305 seconds.

There are two cameras around the Rubik's Cube, and one camera can recognize the arrangement of the three sides. The cameras and motors are all actually products sold by Mitsubishi Electric. The Rubik's Cube is also a commercially available product from Megahouse.

The part that moves the Rubik's Cube looks like this. A motor is attached to each side, allowing each side to rotate.

The lower part is equipped with Mitsubishi Electric's semiconductor power module '

Ultra-compact DIPIPM Ver.7 '.

This is what it looks like from another side.

Below is a video of TOKUFASTbot solving a Rubik's Cube. It's so fast you can't see it at all.
