I tried tasting the 'Nomuringoame', a drink made from candy apples, to see how well it reproduced the taste

Nissin York released ' Nomu Ringo Ame ' on Tuesday, December 10, 2024. I was curious to see what it would be like to drink this drink, which is said to have a soft texture and sweetness while recreating the taste of candy apples sold at specialty stores, so I tried it out.

This is 'Nomuringo candy apple.' It contains less than 10% fruit juice.

The raw materials are 'apple juice', 'glucose fructose liquid sugar', 'sugar', etc., and the calories are 31 kcal per 100 ml. Since it contains 450 ml, drinking one pack is 139.5 kcal.

I'll pour it into a cup and drink it.

Before drinking it, I expected it to taste like 'apple-flavored candy,' but when I actually put it in my mouth, the sweet and sour scent of apples spread first, followed by the gentle sweetness of the candy with a time lag, recreating the change in taste when biting into a candy-coated apple. It doesn't have the sharp sourness or intense sweetness of concentrated apple juice, so you can enjoy the taste of candy apples while drinking the whole pack.

'Nomu Ringo Ame' will be available for purchase at convenience stores nationwide except Okinawa from Tuesday, December 10, 2024, with a suggested retail price of 139 yen (excluding tax).
