Regarding the acquisition by Apple, Pixelmator released a positive statement: 'From day one, we've been Apple-inspired and built our products with a focus on design, usability, and performance. Looking back, it's amazing what a small, enthusiastic group of people from Vilnius, Lithuania has accomplished over the years. Now we can reach an even wider audience and have an even bigger impact on the lives of creative people around the world.'

There will be no major changes to Pixelmator Pro, Pixelmator for iOS, or Photomator after the acquisition.
