Apple announces 'an exciting week of Mac announcements' starting October 28th

It had been rumored that Apple would release an M4-equipped Mac as early as November 2024, and a company executive announced that a 'week of exciting announcements' regarding the Mac would soon begin.

It is unclear what the 'exciting announcement' will be, but 9to5Mac expects that an M4-equipped Mac will be announced. It is unclear what form the announcement will take, but 9to5Mac speculated that it will be announced in the form of a press release rather than a traditional distribution event.

Apple has also invited some creators to a face-to-face hands-on event scheduled to be held in Los Angeles in the fifth week of October 2024, where the new Mac will likely be unveiled. According to Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman, who is familiar with Apple-related leaks, the hands-on event will be held on October 30, but there will likely not be time set aside to watch the keynote speech video.

◆MacBook Pro
For some reason, a Russian YouTuber has leaked an unboxing video of the unreleased M4-equipped MacBook Pro. The video also revealed the benchmark scores of the M4 chip, which were superior in single scores to the M3 Pro, but inferior in multi-core scores.

The M4-equipped MacBook Pro is expected to have a minimum memory capacity of 16GB and three Thunderbolt 4 ports. The new MacBook Pro is expected to come in a 14-inch model with the M4 chip, and 14-inch and 16-inch models with the M4 Pro or M4 Ultra.

iMac
The 24-inch iMac will also be upgraded to include the M4 chip, and the minimum memory capacity will be 16GB, just like the MacBook Pro.
