The Appeals Centre Europe, an EU body established under the Digital Services Act (DSA) , said it 'represents a turning point in the relationship between users and social media companies'.

The Digital Services Act was created with the aim of eliminating the spread of misinformation and targeted advertising via social media and search engines, and any violation of the established rules will be subject to fines of up to 6% of annual turnover.
