Google to release 'Android 15' in October 2024

According to technology media Android Authority, Google has updated the update's release notes to include a statement to users who opt out of the beta program that they should 'ignore this (downgrade) OTA until Android 15 is available in October.'

Android Authority reported that 'sources say Google is postponing the update while working on improving stability, and will roll out the update sometime in October, possibly mid-month.' Previous predictions had been that the update would be released in September if all went well.

Technology media HotHardware pointed out that 'Of course, one of the biggest factors in this delay is that Google brought forward the launch date of the Pixel 9 from the original October to August,' and said that there is no doubt that care is being taken to stabilize the next major update to coincide with the new device.

At the time of writing, beta version 4 of Android 15 has been distributed . In past beta versions, features such as a feature to align line breaks in Japanese text and a 'private space' feature that allows you to hide apps in use were tested.
