The location is around here.

Vlada March, who was visiting the area at the time, has released a video.

This is the scene just before the hydrothermal explosion. The white smoke seen by the group is the Black Diamond Pool.

Apparently when there is nothing there it looks like this, so it may be that the steamy air made people stop and take pictures because they were curious.

Immediately afterwards, a black pillar erupted from the white smoke. There was no explosion or other sound, just the same noise as a normal geyser.

People on the promenade hurriedly evacuated to this side.

The eruption lasted only about 10 to 20 seconds, and when it calmed down and the smoke cleared, the eruption had already ended.

Below is a video of the promenade after the eruption.

You can see that the area is covered in mud including chunks of stone.

The fence on the walkway had been destroyed.

The pools that dot the Biscuit Basin were originally formed by hydrothermal explosions, and Black Diamond Pool has been recorded to have erupted black water many times in the past, but no hydrothermal explosions have occurred recently since 2016.

In response to this incident, Yellowstone National Park has closed the trails near the site, but no injuries have been reported.
