The first PV for the completely new anime 'Ranma 1/2' has been released, with most of the main cast reprising their roles and animation produced by MAPPA
A completely new anime announcement for the anime ' Ranma 1/2 ' was held on July 17, 2024, where the cast and staff were announced. As this is a new anime after 30 years, much attention was focused on the cast, but most of the main cast will be continuing.

The cast announced is as follows. The role of Saotome Genma has been replaced by Cho, from Kenichi Ogata, and the role of Tendo Soun has been replaced by Akio Otsuka, from Ryusuke Obayashi, but all other cast members are continuing to play their original roles. Ogata will also be in charge of the narration.

The main staff is as follows. Animation will be produced by MAPPA, which produced 'Jujutsu Kaisen' and 'Chainsaw Man', and the director will be Uda Konosuke, who was the series director of the anime 'One Piece' and the movie 'Rainbow Firefly: Eternal Summer Vacation'. The music for the previous work was handled by Mori Eiji, Kawai Kenji, and Matsuura Akihisa, but for this work it will be handled by Wada Kaoru, who has worked on 'Inuyasha' and other works.

The broadcast schedule has also been announced, with the series being broadcast on Nippon TV from 25:56 on Saturday, October 5, 2024, as well as on other Nippon TV affiliates. In addition, the series will be exclusively distributed on Netflix immediately after broadcast.

After much training, Ranma (voiced by Yamaguchi Kappei ) acquires the strange ability to turn back into a woman when splashed with water, and into a man when splashed with hot water.
