We tried attaching the Xperia genuine accessory 'Style Cover with Stand' to the Xperia 1 VI and Xperia 10 VI. The stand is convenient for video playback, and the lens is firmly protected and it also serves as a grip.

The Xperia 1 VI and Xperia 10 VI are available with the official accessory covers ' Style Cover with Stand for Xperia 1 VI ' and ' Style Cover with Stand for Xperia 10 VI ', respectively. I had the opportunity to borrow one from Sony along with the Xperia body, so I actually tried attaching the cover.

The outer box looks like this. On the left is the 'Style Cover with Stand for Xperia 1 VI', and on the right is the 'Style Cover with Stand for Xperia 10 VI'.

In addition to the cover itself, a ring strap is included. The cover is made of hard polycarbonate, while the ring strap is made of silicone and is a little softer.

The back of the cover looks like this. The stand is built into the bottom, and it has a slightly raised shape. There is also a hole for attaching a ring strap at the bottom center of the back.

The body side of the cover is fitted with polyurethane leather material.

When you put out the stand it looks like this.

It can be placed either horizontally or vertically. However, there is no adjustment function for the opening angle.

With the ring strap attached, the Style Cover with Stand for Xperia 1 VI weighs 34g.

With the ring strap attached, the 'Style Cover with Stand for Xperia 10 VI' weighed in at 33g.

Here's what they look like next to the case. The color of the case is a little darker than the case itself, probably due to the difference in materials.

It looks like this when installed. It was installed in a way that was close to clicking into place. It can be removed by removing the corners on the bottom side one by one, but it seems that it is basically intended to be used without removing it. It is installed in a way that slightly wraps around the main body, so even if you place it on a desk with the screen facing down, it seems that the screen will not directly touch the desk. However, it is quite a tight fit.

When placed horizontally, it looks like this. It's at a good angle when you place it on a table and play videos.

When the cover is attached, the lens of the Xperia 1 VI is almost flush with the cover, and there are no bumps or unevenness between the cover and the lens, which is visually satisfying. In addition, since the stand part is raised like a grip, when the bottom is placed on a flat surface, the top of the cover and the highest part of the grip will touch the ground.

When you attach the cover to the Xperia 10 VI, the lens will not be flush, but will be slightly lower.

When you put your middle finger through the ring strap and hold the Xperia 1 VI vertically, your finger position looks like this.

When you turn it over it looks something like this.

I used it with the cover attached for a while, and the ring strap felt good on my fingers, and because the strap attachment position is at the bottom center of the cover, the weight balance is good, so much so that I even felt it was easier to use it with my fingers through it. The slightly rough surface makes it easy to grip, and together with the grip shape, it increases the convenience when shooting, so I got the impression that if you are someone who often takes photos and videos, you will be able to shoot more efficiently with this cover.

The 'Style Cover with Stand for Xperia 1 VI' and 'Style Cover with Stand for Xperia 10 VI' come in the same colors as the devices, and are available at the Sony Store for 4,950 yen each (tax included).
