I tried Kyodo Dairy's 'Kyoto Uji Matcha Pudding,' which is like swallowing a rich matcha dumpling.

The ' Kyoto Uji Matcha Pudding ', which uses only matcha from Ujitawara Town, has been added to the ' Domestic Commitment Material Series ' developed under Kyodo Dairy's 'Meito' brand from May 27, 2024 (Monday), so I tried to see what kind of pudding it was.

The package looks like this, with an image of matcha being brewed.

Each piece weighs 100g and contains 125kcal.

The ingredients are written horizontally and cannot be seen at a glance, but they are arranged as follows: liquid eggs, sugar, skim milk powder, black honey sauce, vegetable oil, dextrin, and matcha.

When you open the lid, it looks like this. The grains are air bubbles, and there is nothing in the pudding.

The brown sugar syrup sauce sinks to the bottom. Just as it looks, the taste is rich and strong with a strong matcha flavor. A mellow, rounded bitterness and a pudding-like sweetness spread throughout your mouth. The brown sugar syrup sauce has a low viscosity and is almost liquid-like. When mixed with the pudding, the firm yet soft sweetness envelops the pudding, bringing out just the right amount of bitterness from the matcha. The overall flavor has a strong matcha taste, and it feels like you're slurping down a soft pudding made from matcha dumplings.

Kyodo Dairy's 'Kyoto Uji Matcha Pudding' is available for a limited time at supermarkets and convenience stores for 146 yen (excluding tax).

On Rakuten Market, a set of 16 was on sale for 2,800 yen including tax.
