On May 20, 2024, Microsoft announced the PC brand 'Copilot+ PC,' which claims to be 'equipped with the most powerful NPU in the existing PC category.' As a precursor to the brand, it has revealed that two new products will be released from the 'Surface' series. Both are scheduled to ship on June 18, 2024.

◆11th Generation Surface Pro
The Surface Pro is a 2-in-1 tablet that can be used like a laptop by attaching a keyboard (sold separately). The 11th generation Surface Pro is a 13-inch tablet with an OLED or LCD display, and is equipped with a 'Snapdragon X Elite/Plus' processor with a powerful AI processing chip. The processing speed is 90% faster than the previous model 'Surface Pro 9', and image generation, on-screen text processing, and video and audio transcription can be performed locally. Prices range from 207,680 yen to 394,680 yen (tax included). Wi-Fi-enabled models and Wi-Fi and 5G-enabled models are scheduled to be released.

In addition, the USB-C (USB 4) port supports up to three external 4K displays, and Wi-Fi 7 is compatible for high-speed communication. It also supports 4K still and video shooting, so Microsoft is promoting it as 'you can do everything from shooting to editing with one device.' The display resolution is 2880 x 1920 (3K).



Along with the announcement of the 11th generation Surface Pro, Microsoft also announced a new keyboard accessory,

the Surface Pro Flex Keyboard . This keyboard is priced at 80,080 yen (tax included) per unit, which is a bold price for an accessory, but unlike existing products, it has the advantage of being able to connect wirelessly via Bluetooth. ◆7th Generation Surface Laptop
The Surface Laptop is a notebook-style device. The 7th generation Surface Laptop is equipped with Microsoft's 'PixelSense Flow Display' and is available in 13.8-inch or 15-inch sizes. Like the 11th generation Surface Pro, it is equipped with the Snapdragon X Elite/Plus and is specialized for AI processing. It is said to be 86% faster than the previous model, the 'Surface Laptop 5.'

In addition, there are two USB-C (USB 4) ports and one USB-A port (USB 3.1). It supports Wi-Fi 7, and the camera supports still and video capture at up to 1080p. Prices range from 207,680 yen to 401,800 yen (tax included).
