Admont Abbey Library is one of the largest monastic libraries in the world, and its magnificent architecture has been attracting attention on social media in recent years. The original Admont Abbey was founded in 1074, and the monastic library we see today was built in 1776, modeled after the Vienna Court Library. The frescoes on the ceiling were created by the Austrian Baroque painter Bartolomeo Altomonte , and are said to represent the deep relationship between religion, art, and science.
