CLAMP x Netflix releases trailer for the anime 'Grimm Suite', a bold reboot of Grimm's fairy tales

This work is said to be 'New Grimm Fairy Tales by CLAMP x Netflix' and consists of six Grimm fairy tales 'Cinderella', 'Little Red Riding Hood', 'Hansel and Gretel', 'The Dwarf Shoemaker', 'The Bremen Town Musicians', and 'Hamelin'. This is a bold reboot of 'The Pied Piper.'

The synopsis is as follows.

Once upon a time...once upon a time, there were two brothers named Jacob and Wilhelm. The two collected fairy tales (fairy tales) from all over the country and compiled them into books. They both had younger sisters who were younger than each other. Her name was Charlotte, and Jacob and Wilhelm loved her because she was innocent and full of curiosity. One day, as they were listening to Charlotte read fairy tales as usual, they noticed that she looked somewhat lonely and melancholy. Did you know?” --Jacob and Wilhelm, who wrote the Grimm fairy tales, and their sister Charlotte. A new interpretation of the Grimm's Fairy Tales, written from Charlotte's point of view, which is different from that of her two older brothers, will now open.

The script was written by Michiko Yokote, who has written scripts for such films as ``xxxHOLiC,'' ``Kobato.'' and ``Tsurune - Kazabu High School Kyudo Club.'' The music was composed by ``Matsuken Samba II'' and ``Quintet,'' which was broadcast on NHK Education. Akira Miyagawa, known for his appearances in the series, is in charge.

The animation is produced by WIT STUDIO, which also produced ``SPY x FAMILY'', ``Attack on Titan (up to Season 3)'', and ``The Ancient Magus' Bride''.

Distribution will start from Wednesday, April 17, 2024.
