I actually tried installing Trusco Nakayama's ``pedestal stopper'' that can be retrofitted with a stopper on the ``Grand Cart Silent'' trolley without a stopper.Review

Slight slopes of entrances and roads can be a problem when transporting equipment for the editorial department to and from the warehouse. As I was trying to open the front door, I let go of the trolley, searched for my card key, and opened it, but the trolley slowly moved in the wrong direction. Or a trolley that slowly moves towards a national highway where cars are passing by while waiting at a traffic light at an intersection. Both are extremely dangerous.

I was wondering if there was any way to stop it, and it turned out that there is a stopper called a ' pedestal stopper ' that can be retrofitted to the trolley. I received the actual product as

a gift from a reader to the editorial department , so I installed it.

This is one of the trolleys used by the GIGAZINE editorial department.

This is Trusco Nakayama's `` Grand Cart Silent '' trolley.

Fold the handle to make it compact.

Although it has the minimum necessary elements as a trolley, there is no stopper, so if you let go of it at the entrance of the GIGAZINE editorial department, it will automatically go towards the road.

Trusco Nakayama's ``foot stopper'' is an aftermarket stopper that is sold as if ``if you don't have a stopper, just add one.'' When I put this product on the GIGAZINE editorial department's Amazon wish list , a reader purchased it. thank you!

So this box was actually delivered.

There was a naked stopper inside.

The contents include the stopper body, spanner, and instruction manual.

The stopper is made of steel.

It comes with springs, etc., but I don't really understand how it works just by looking at it.

The instruction manual had detailed instructions on how to install it, so I followed it and tried actually installing it.

First, turn the cart over.

Also, pay attention to the area near the tire on the handle side.

You will need to remove the two outermost nuts installed.

The supplied spanner was too small to remove the cart nut, so I used the spanner I had on hand instead. It fit perfectly with a 17mm size spanner.

Remove the nut and the spring washer and washer underneath the nut.

This is what it looks like after removing it. The threaded part of the bolt is slightly exposed.

I'll remove the other one as well.

Next, hold the stopper in the direction shown in the image below and place it on the cart.

The bolt will fit perfectly into the hole at the end of the stopper.

Reinstall the spring washer, washer, and nut so that they sandwich the stopper.

Install the nuts on both ends to complete the installation.

Next, loosen the nut on the stopper. The included wrench fits this nut perfectly.

Next, pull the silver lever in the center upwards.

I heard a 'clack' sound and the lever became fixed, and the nut I loosened earlier came into contact with the tire.

Adjust the position of the nut so that the tire is completely fixed in contact and you're done.

This is what it looks like when you flip the truck over.

Press the lever with your foot to lock it in place.

I recorded a video of how it actually stopped. Now you can secure your cart anytime, anywhere. convenience.
