Tasting review of all 4 types of Mister Donut's 'misdo meets GODIVA Premium Chocolat Collection' jointly developed with Godiva
Four types of ' misdo meets GODIVA Premium Chocolat Collection ' jointly developed by Mister Donut and Godiva will be released on Thursday, January 11, 2024. The donut dough that was newly developed for this collaboration is a moist and melt-in-your-mouth dough inspired by gateau chocolat, and the other pie dough has a chocolate-like taste and crispy texture. I actually tried it to see what it tastes like.

There are four types that appeared this time, from the left: ' Ganache Chocolat ', ' Praline Chocolat ', ' Caramel Chocolat ', and ' Galette des Roi Chocolat '.
First, I will try eating ganache chocolate. A donut with bitter ganache and ganache whip sandwiched between chocolate donut dough inspired by gateau chocolat, and pearl chocolate is placed on top of the chocolate coating.
The diameter is a little shorter than a transportation IC card.
If you look from the side, you can see the bitter ganache and ganache whip sandwiched in the dough.
Ganache chocolate is a donut with an exquisite sweetness that may or may not be bitter, and has a strong cacao aroma. The crunchy texture of the pearl chocolate is added to the 'crunchy' and 'crunchy' texture of the dough, and the sticky texture of the chocolate and whipped cream adds to the flavor.
Praline Chocolat is a donut made by squeezing
This is also slightly smaller than a transportation IC card.
The top half of the dough is evenly coated with white chocolate.
Praline chocolate is sweet without any bitterness, but it is not overly sweet and has a calm taste. The almond topping has a crunchy texture, and when you bite into it, the almond cream slowly comes out from between the chocolate surface and the dough, filling your mouth with the flavor of almonds.
Next is caramel chocolate. These donuts are made by coating donut dough with milk chocolate, sprinkling chocolate crunch, squeezing salted butter caramel cream on top, and finishing with cocoa powder.
This is what it looks like from the side.
There is a strong contrast between the fluffy cream topping and the crunchy chocolate coating, resulting in a donut that allows you to continuously enjoy the textures of 'fluffy', 'crunchy', and 'sticky' from the dough. . The cocoa powder topping is bittersweet. Because the cocoa powder is the first thing that touches your tongue, the bitterness lasts from the beginning to the end of the meal, but at the same time, the rich sweet aroma of caramel lingers in your mouth from beginning to end, creating a strange sensation of ``bitter yet sweet.'' You can taste it.
Lastly, we sampled the Galette des Rois chocolate. This pie is baked with almond cream and chocolate mixed with custard cream in a pie crust with a chocolate flavor and crispy texture.
The crown is made of paper and cannot be eaten.
It seems that the authentic 'Galette des Rois' has a doll inside, but Mister Donut's Galette des Rois Chocolat contains chocolate instead. When I cut it in half, there was definitely chocolate in it. This chocolate has a chestnut flavor, and when you take a bite of Galette des Roi Chocolat, the crispy texture and chestnut flavor linger forever. I couldn't really feel the chocolate taste, Godiva-like taste, or almond taste.
The prices for 'Ganache Chocolat', 'Praline Chocolat' and 'Caramel Chocolat' are 324 yen including tax for takeout and 330 yen including tax for eat-in. The price of 'Galette des Roi Chocolat' is 356 yen including tax for takeout and 363 yen including tax for eat-in.
