OpenAI protects its users with system-built copyright protection. The newly announced 'Copyright Shield' goes a step further, allowing OpenAI to step in to protect the user and shoulder the costs incurred if a legal claim for copyright infringement arises as a result of the user's use. Please note that this applies to users of ChatGPT Enterprise and features generally available on the developer platform, and does not apply to the free version of ChatGPT.
