Apple Music's Lower-Priced Voice Plan Being Discontinued - MacRumors

What we found to be discontinued is Apple Music Voice, a subscription plan that specializes in listening to music through Siri.

There is a mention of the Voice plan on the Apple Music official website (top) in October 2023 , which can be checked in the Internet Archive, but it is not on the Apple Music official website (bottom) at the time of article creation.

The Voice plan is a service launched by Apple in 2021, and has limitations such as being available only on Apple devices equipped with Siri, not supporting Dolby Atmos spatial audio, and not allowing downloads, but offering the lowest price. Now you can enjoy over 100 million Apple Music songs. The regions covered were Australia, Austria, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

The Japanese version of the Apple Music Voice support page still contains information about the service at the time of writing, but the English version explains, ``In November, Apple will discontinue the Apple Music Voice plan.'' .

Apple explained to foreign media MacRumors that existing subscribers can continue to use the Voice plan, but they will no longer have access to it after the final billing period expires.

It is unclear why this plan is being discontinued. Apple says existing subscribers will receive a notification with more information before the term expires.
