I ate super rich ramen with the wild scent of pork bones and chicken bones wafting outside the store at the famous Tokushima ramen restaurant 'Ooken'

While researching and thinking, ``I want to eat delicious ramen around Kansai,'' I discovered a ramen restaurant called `` Oohken '' located in Tokushima Prefecture. According to the explanation on

the official website , Oouken's ramen uses a rich soup made with pork bones and chicken bones, and is said to be ``an appetizing bowl with a wild aroma.'' I was really curious about what it tasted like, so I actually went to the store and tried it.

Ooken is located a few minutes from the Aizumi IC on the Tokushima Expressway. If you are going by public transportation, we recommend heading for the Nadabashi Kita bus stop from Tokushima Station or Itano Station.

This time I headed to Wang Wangxuan by car. The moment I arrived at the store and opened the car door, the animal-like smell of pork bones and chicken bones hit my nose.

This is a system where you purchase a meal ticket at the same time as you enter the store.

This time, I chose the ``Meatama Dai'' (950 yen including tax), which comes with extra meat and a raw egg topping.

Take a seat and wait for your ramen to be served. Pepper, chili pepper, and shichimi chili pepper are prepared on the table. While you wait for your ramen to be served, the ``wild scent'' of pork bones and chicken bones will stimulate your nose and heighten your anticipation.

A few minutes after being seated, a large meatball was served. A raw egg is topped in the center, and green onions, bean sprouts, menma, and meat are topped around it.

The soup is not smooth but thick in texture and has a strong pork bone aroma. When you drink it, you can feel the very strong umami and sweetness of the pork bones and chicken bones, as well as the salty taste of the soy sauce. It is seasoned with the umami and sweetness of the pork bones and chicken bones rather than the saltiness of the soy sauce, and is characterized by a taste that lingers in the mouth for a long time even after swallowing. It has a strong wild scent in your nose, but leaves a taste of pork bones and chicken bones on your tongue. It is definitely recommended for those who think that ``ramen using pork bones should have a gamey smell.'' It's soup.

The noodles are straight type and go well with the soup. When you slurp the noodles, the soup reaches your throat directly, and you can enjoy the wild aroma of the soup with both your tongue and nose.

The pork topping has a sweet and salty seasoning and a chewy texture. When you bite into the pork, the flavor of the pork comes out.

If you break the raw egg after eating about half of it, the overall taste will change to a milder one. I was able to eat it all the way to the end without getting tired of it, thanks to the change in taste from the raw eggs.

When I finished eating and left the store, I was given a candy ball.

There is a vending machine for Ooken's take-out ramen outside the store.

The product is only one type of ramen and costs 700 yen per meal.

I was curious about what take-out ramen would taste like, so I bought it.

I was told that the take-out ramen can be stored in the refrigerator for about a week, so I put it in the refrigerator for 6 days before eating it.

Inside the tube were cooking instructions, soup, and noodles.

The weight of the noodles is 124g including the vinyl.

Boil the noodles for 2 and a half minutes.

Just add the boiled noodles to the hot soup and it's done.

The completed ramen looks like this. It had a piece of pork in it. There was also a menma (menma) inside, although you couldn't see it because it was hidden behind the noodles.

When you drink the soup, you can enjoy the rich taste of pork bones and chicken bones, just like the store.

The texture of the noodles is similar to that of the store.

The pork also tastes similar to the store. Overall, the taste is similar to the ramen I had at the store, so I highly recommend it as a souvenir from Ooken.

Since there is some soup left, I will add packed rice.

If you wait about a minute after adding the rice, the soup will soak into the rice, and you'll be in a funny situation where you'll feel like you put rice in your mouth, but it only tastes like pork bones. Ooken's soup is so rich that you can fully enjoy the taste of pork bones and chicken bones, so it's fun to just enjoy the taste of the soup without any toppings.

In addition, Ooken ramen can be purchased at the official online shop , and has also been selected as a return gift for hometown tax donations by Aizumi Town, Tokushima Prefecture. Also, at the time of article creation, you can get 2 meals at Amazon.co.jp for 3980 yen including tax.
