◆Dream Screen
YouTube Shorts, which started in 2020, has become a popular service with more than 2 billion monthly logged-in users at the time of writing, and a total of more than 70 billion views per day. Therefore, we announced that we will start testing ``Dream Screen'', which allows you to generate AI-generated video and image backgrounds for YouTube short movies by simply entering an idea in text.

When creating a short movie for YouTube Shorts, you may want to add effects or backgrounds to make your movie look better. In such a case, enter the photo or movie you are imagining into YouTube's Dream Screen as text.

Then, the photos and movies that you entered will be automatically generated.

Take a selfie with a green screen, input 'calm blue sky with falling stars' and generate a movie.

Then, a movie according to the input contents will be generated and automatically composited into the background. Dream Screen will first be introduced to a small number of creators, and will be rolled out more widely from 2024. Additionally, YouTube says, ``In the future, we plan to expand the ability to remix your existing YouTube videos into something completely new by simply editing the content or inputting your ideas.''

◆YouTubeCreate
YouTubeCreate is an app for creators who edit movies on their smartphones.

YouTubeCreate has thousands of royalty-free audio sources available. This feature was already available in YouTube Studio, the creator feature of the browser version of YouTube.

Then, AI can automatically transcribe the dialogue in the movie and automatically generate subtitles.

Furthermore, it will automatically detect and delete unexpected noise from the movie.

◆Additional functions to YouTube Studio
YouTube has announced 'AI Insights,' a feature that utilizes generative AI to generate movie ideas and support creators' brainstorming. With AI Insights, AI generates personalized 'movie ideas' for each channel based on what viewers are watching on YouTube and displays them on YouTube Studio. YouTube says, ``In a pre-test, more than 70% of those surveyed said it helped them get ideas for movies.''

We also plan to implement a function where AI will suggest appropriate music at an appropriate price by simply entering a description of the content, and automatic dubbing into languages other than your native language using the AI-equipped dubbing tool 'Aloud.' You can understand what Aloud's automatic dubbing is by reading the article below.

'We're slowly starting to see how AI-powered tools can help people turn their dreams into reality,' YouTube said. 'The future of creation on YouTube is bright, and we're excited to see what's created next on YouTube. I can’t wait.”
