Is the 'koshian bar' that finally appeared harder than the 'adzuki bar'? what does it taste like? tasting review

Imuraya, which develops the `` Azuki Bar '', which is famous for its extremely hard ice cream, has released the `` Koshian Bar '' on August 28, 2023 (Monday). 'Tsubuan' is used for Azuki bar, but 'Koshian' is used for Koshian bar. It seems that the Koshian bar is a long-awaited ice cream, but since the information on the hardness of the key was not recorded in the official information, I actually compared the azuki bar and the Koshian bar to check the hardness and taste. I found a Koshian bar at the ice cream corner of the supermarket.

I bought a koshian bar and an azuki bar and brought it home.

There are only 4 types of ingredients for the koshian bar: raw bean paste, sugar, adzuki beans, and salt. Raw bean paste is manufactured by Imuraya.

The raw materials of the azuki bar are sugar, adzuki beans, starch syrup, and salt. It's also a simple configuration.

The calorie of the koshian bar is 110 kcal per bar.

Azuki bar is also 110kcal per bar.

It melted a little while I was taking it home, so I put it in the freezer for about 3 hours to cool it down.

I put a chilled koshian bar (left) and azuki bar (right) on a plate. The azuki bar shows azuki beans, but the koshian bar is azuki color as a whole.

In order to verify the hardness, I pierced a fork into the koshian bar.

If you use one hand, no matter how much force you apply, it will only stick a little.

Next, when I pierced the azuki bar with a fork, it felt almost as hard as the koshian bar. The strained bean paste bar has the same hardness as the adzuki bean bar, so it seems to be recommended for those who love the hardness of the adzuki bean bar.

When you eat a koshian bar, you can taste the sweetness of the red bean paste without any uneven taste. It is characterized by a light sweetness that disappears quickly without being entangled with the tongue. When I picked sweets with a similar taste, I felt that it was close to 'Yokan' and 'Zenzai'.

After tasting the bean paste bar and eating the azuki bar, it seemed that the flavor was concentrated in the azuki bean part compared to the bean paste bar, which had a uniform taste. The biggest difference from the koshian bar is whether or not the beans touch the tongue. When several editorial staff compared the taste, one editorial staff enthusiastically said, ``The feeling of the beans touching your tongue is the goodness of the azuki bar!'', while ``Koshian bars have a uniform taste and are very easy to eat. There was also an editorial staff member who commented on the impression, and the preference was about 50%.

The Koshian bar has a suggested retail price of 86 yen including tax, and has been available in supermarkets and convenience stores nationwide since August 28, 2023.
