In February 1966, the former Soviet Union made the world's first soft landing on the moon with Luna 9. After that, the United States succeeded in manned Apollo 11 in 1969. In addition, China succeeded with Chang'e 3 in December 2013, making India the fourth country to succeed. This is the first successful soft landing in Antarctica.
“This success belongs to all of humanity and will help other countries explore the moon in the future,” said Modi. I'm sure we can all go to the moon and beyond,' he said in his post-landing speech.
