WIRED learned Wednesday afternoon that senior reporter Dell Cameron's Twitter account was permanently suspended after he reported on Matt Walsh's Twitter account being hacked.
Regarding the ban on Cameron's account, Twitter said: 'For the direct distribution of hacked content that contains personal information, that may expose people to physical harm or danger, or that contains trade secrets. You are not authorized to use our services.' However, Twitter's policy at the time of the explanation states, 'Sources of information obtained through leaks or hacks are held accountable to Twitter, government agencies, and others. We recognize that it may serve as the basis for important reporting by news agencies intended to inflict damage,' allowing us to post using partially hacked material.

Foreign news media Forbes said, ``The hacked private text was not published in the Wired article, but even mentioning the existence of the hacked material seems to violate Twitter's policy. It is,' he points out .
